Y2 Geotechnical brings you Environmental Services.
With today's environmental laws and public concern, the parties in real estate transactions should conduct due diligence research to determine the risk of soil and groundwater contamination by hazardous or controlled substances. Y2 Geotechnical provides Phase I and II site assessments which are designed for this purpose.
The Phase I assessment is a review of historical information and an evaluation of the physical site features to ascertain the potential for contamination of the site by hazardous substances as a result of current or previous site activities or activities occuring on adjacent properties. If the results of the Phase I assessment indicate a recognized environmental condition, a Phase II assessment might warrant consideration by the client.
A Phase II assessment consists of surface and
subsurface exploration and a quantitative testing program designed to verify the existence
or absence of the recognized environmental condition. The results of the Phase II assessment
could then be used to develop more detailed studies and eventually plans for remedial
action at the site.
Y2 Geotechnical provides an in-house sampling system using the Power Probe Direct Push Sampling with EPA sampling and analysis protocols and state certified employees.
Y2 Geotechnical is pleased to provide these services to the Intermountain West.
